Penguins, Penguins Everywhere!

This week we traveled to the continent of Antarctica. We learned that noone lives there, however, there are scientists who work there. There are many animals that call Antarctica home: whales, seals, and penguins. We discover from our experiment that blubber helps these animals stay warm. We also learned many interesting facts about penguins.
Wonderful and unique creations!

Science Experiment: Will blubber help you stay warm in cold water. Our hypotheses was mixed: 9 yes, 7 no.

Emperor Penguins can grow to 47" tall.
Are you taller than an Emperor Penguin?

We were also glad to welcome one if our own DSU football players to our classroom. He read "Snowmen at Night"! Thank you Mr. Cody! You did a great job!!
